Born and raised in Houston, Texas’ historic Third Ward, 24-year-old hip-hop artist/painter, Ingrid "IB" Burley, got her introduction to the entertainment business at the very early age of 13. Losing her mother to cancer as a child, IB struggled to express her feelings verbally, prompting her fascination with visual art. In between songwriting, rehearsing, and recording with her (then) singing group-mates, IB used art as an alternate form of expression, embracing the fact that there aren't any "rules" to (abstract) painting. IB participated in art programs throughout her school days and focused on her professional career in music every night, rarely getting any sleep. By the age of 18, IB (known then as IB3) signed to Mathew Knowles' Music World Entertainment. During IB’s developmental experience with MWE, she earned opportunities to record with legendary rapper Pos (De La Soul), producer Cameron Wallace (Beyonce’s “Upgrade You”), The Bamaz, and Solange Knowles.
Over the past 11 years, IB, known for her witty one-liners and superb stage presence has consistently progressed and developed her talents, garnering over 50,000 fans worldwide. Now residing in Brooklyn, the songstress/painter continues to build her "myMovement/myArt" brand and expand her fan base, performing live and collaborating with emcees such as Wale, Drake, J. Cole, Machine Gun Kelly, Esso, Push! Montana, and many many more. IB and visual artist, John "Logic 14" Foreman formed the hip-hop/art duo, "143" in 2008. Logic paints live on stage alongside IB as she performs original music, inspired by visual artwork. The two artists hope their charismatic infusion will draw more attention to visual art and eventually revolutionize the entertainment industry. It's only a matter of time...
